Botany Blast! What's that plant?

September 7 2022:  Botany Blasts resume!!!

Are you interested in learning more about New Brunswick plants?

Wondering about which Asters are still in bloom? Want to know about some other wildflower you’ve seen or collected over the summer. Interested in learning how to use various wild flower guides or floras? Join fellow plant enthusiasts at the Connell Herbarium in the Bailey Building at UNB in Fredericton. Beginners and experts welcome. No costs involved.

Once a month we host an informal session to collaborate on identifying plants collected in New Brunswick. Anyone is welcome, and we usually have botanists and naturalists from around the province who come to learn from each other.

It's a great opportunity to identify that tricky plant you found, learn more about native plants, and share botany outing ideas.

  • Third Wednesday of each month
  • 11 am until 3 pm
  • Room 17 Bailey Hall, UNB Fredericton
