Data Remarks: The tree has a dbh of 25.3cm (2016 measurements). Tree health was assessed in 2016 and assessment indicated that the tree was minimally cankered by the butternut canker pathogen (Ophiostoma-clavigignenti-juglandacearum). At the time of collection, the tree is still cankered but desiccation in the crown is more visible. This tree has been genotyped using DNA microsatellite and cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence markers (Hoban et al 2008, McCleary et al 2009) and confirmed to be pure butternut.
